I’m a freelance technical designer and product developer specializing in swimwear and resort wear, with 15 years of experience taking product from concept through production. I work with both established brands that need experienced freelance support and founders building their first collection. I can step into an existing team and work within your current process, or help build the development process from the ground up. My background spans design, technical design and product development, so I understand how decisions made at the design stage impact fit, construction, costing and production. I create detailed tech packs, develop specs, conduct virtual or in-person fittings, manage fit comments, source fabrics and trims, connect brands with manufacturers, communicate with vendors and help keep development moving through each sample round. I’ve spent my career designing and developing swimwear, including leading design teams and working with major retailers, established swimwear brands and startups. That experience allows me to bridge the gap between the creative vision and the technical realities of manufacturing. You can hire me for one specific stage of development or bring me on as an extension of your team to manage the process from concept through production. My approach is collaborative, detail-focused and practical, with the goal of developing great-fitting product while keeping communication clear, development on track and unnecessary sample rounds to a minimum.
