Runsheet is where founders come to find US factories. Most of them arrive before they're ready — no tech pack, no patterns, no graded spec. They need you first. Listing is free, there are no bidding fees, and every request comes with the brand's contact info so you can reply straight to them — no bidding, no commission, nothing deducted from what you charge.
Four steps, and only the first one takes any of your time.
About five minutes. Your specialties, where you're based, how you charge, a short description, and a portfolio link or file if you have one handy.
Not an algorithm. I check that you're a real practitioner and that your specialties are described in language a brand founder will understand. If something needs tightening I'll email you rather than reject it silently.
You'll get a private link to edit your listing whenever you like — update your availability, rates, portfolio, anything. No account, no password, no dashboard to learn.
They search by specialty, location and availability, then send a short request through Runsheet. It lands in your inbox with their name, email and what they need — you reply directly from there, and nothing is deducted from what you charge.
The short version: nothing, and there's no mechanism by which it could quietly become something.
Two ways: factories pay for membership, and some consultants choose to pay for Core or Pro-Studio — the optional tools further down this page. Neither one touches your listing. Being found and contacted by brands is free, with no bidding fees and no commission, and that isn't an introductory rate waiting to be withdrawn — it stays free whether or not you ever choose one.
"100% agree with you about Upwork — exhausting and never got anywhere with it. I like that you haven't added bidding tokens on there, because otherwise I wouldn't bother."
If you take a brand from idea to something a factory can quote, you belong here.
Remote is fine. Most of this work happens over email and shared files anyway — the factories are US-based, the people helping brands get there don't have to be.
Have these to hand and the form takes five minutes.
Separate from your listing, and entirely optional — once you're listed.
Built for independent consultants and small teams running a handful of client brands at a time — not enterprise PLM, and not priced like it.
Why that order: both plans live inside your consultant dashboard, and the dashboard comes with your listing. So list first — it's free and takes about five minutes — and either one is a click away from there whenever you want it.
To be clear: your listing is free whether or not you ever choose one. It doesn't affect where you rank, whether brands can find you, or anything about how you get contacted — these are a separate set of tools for the work itself. Pro-Studio starts with a 14-day free trial — $0 today, first charge on day 15. Cancel anytime from your billing page, or by emailing me.
Runsheet has over a thousand US factories listed and brands searching it daily, but the consultant side is new — there are only a handful of people on it so far. I'd rather tell you that than have you discover it.
What that means in practice: less competition than you'd face anywhere else, and a real say in how this works. The first consultant to list has already changed decisions about how the directory is built. It also means I can't promise you a project next week. If you want the upside of being early and can live with that, list yourself. If you need volume today, this isn't it yet.
For what it's worth, I do this work too — SÔZ Studios Atelier is listed on the directory alongside everyone else. I built the thing I wanted to be found on.
Five minutes, reviewed by a person, and you'll get a private link to edit it whenever you like.
