What are Briefs?

Briefs are platform credits you spend to unlock and bid on production projects that brands post on Runsheet. Founding members get 3 free Briefs to start; you can purchase more in packs at any time. Spending a Brief is what keeps bidding meaningful — brands know every response comes from a factory serious about the work.

How many Briefs does a project cost?

Cost scales with the project's budget, so bigger opportunities cost more to bid on:

When is a Brief spent — and do I get it back if I'm not selected?

A Brief is spent the moment you express interest in a project, and it isn't refunded if the brand chooses a different factory. That's deliberate: it's what makes each bid a real signal. You'll see the full project details — budget, quantity, timeline, specs status — before you commit a single Brief, so you can bid only on projects that genuinely fit your line. Each project also caps at a maximum of 5 bidding factories, so you're never one of fifty.

Do Briefs expire?

Purchased Briefs roll over month to month and stay valid for 12 months from purchase. Briefs included with founding membership roll over as long as your membership is active.

What happens after I bid?

The brand sees your factory profile, reviews, and ratings alongside your expression of interest, then accepts or declines. If accepted, you're connected directly — Runsheet takes no commission on the work. The job is yours, the relationship is yours.
